Finally, some wisdom from Australia. [macrobusiness.com.au] In the beginning this site wanted to promote such groups as FFRF and the Humanist as well as the issue of overpopulation. I often wonder if that is still the case.

Interesting that the article ignores the benefit to the immigrants. It's almost as if they don't count as real people...

Sorry, I see a double whammy for immigrants. When a society goes everyone is affected. Immigration to developed countries is excessive and the huge increase in carbon footprints and greenhouse gas generation will hurt everyone. We need to stop looking at immigration from an emotional standpoint and see reality. My late partner, an immigrant, asked her 2nd graders: what is more important, people or dirt? we absolutely cannot be more important that that (nature or system of government) that supports us. She was the most rational person I (and many others) have known and she saw the environmental issue (like climate change) as the most serious thing facing humankind today. She was a big vocal promoter of reducing our consumption and immigration levels. I think, more and more people and groups are seeing this issue as the complex and harmful thing it is.
