Never let god go, because I didn't have him. However the myths and legends surrounding gods, goddess, avatars, demons, and devils do make for some great fantasy books / movies.

I don't hold on to supernatural beliefs, but I can't get rid of them now, even though I left christianity and don't want them anymore. I was atheist growing up but became a christian fanatic in college, because of circumstance and social influences. I eventually did the tongues ritual and that's when I developed schizoaffective disorder.

I still believe walking under a black cat is bad luck. And don't cross paths with a ladder.
