Today; 49 years ago, today, Sept 18th...we lost the best R and R guitarist ever...

I must be the only person in the world that felt he was over-rated. Yes, he was a good guitar player. I'm just not convinced he was the best.
Some people put down what they do not understand. He was not a technician or a scholar... of the instrument... he was guided by intuition... by creativity... he explored... he created... he went to places not charted yet for the electric guitar. That is his Genius and he was certainly not a Doctor of the guitar... but he was a Virtuoso, self made God... a pioneer despite his lack of knowledge of the instrument... he made the guitar an extension of his personality... And that is Beyond Ratings!!!! "He belongs in an Electric Guitar Niche by Himself, Standing Along".
Trying to remember who went first -Jimi, Janis or Jim.
Jim? IDK
