In the past, Oprah was very narrow in her religious belief system. To wit, she would not even read the first page of a manuscript that proposed a more rational view of the world. In more recent years, she discover how much money is in the market for "new age" and other viewpoints that aren't necessarily bound to religious belief. Thus, my take on Oprah is she's largely opportunistic and primarily focused on creating financial wealth for herself. I avoid her, her products, and her network assiduously.

Oy vey. And she's supposed to be so wise...

Just love how theist think they can speak to something they know nothing about. Some of the most religious people I know are some of the most miserable. But I don’t make that a blanket statement about believers; I know some that are euphorically happy, which is just as weird.
