I’ve been glued to the amber guyger trial (I refuse to capitalize her name), your thoughts?

One thing is clear - the Police need a non lethal weapon, like a stun gun, to disable people without killing them.

We never hear of an unarmed white male being shot by the police!

I've seen snippets of her testimony. She's all over the news saying she wishes he killed her instead. Her tears, her facial movements, and her voice do not convince me. I think her words are from lawyer's pen and she looks more like Susan Smith than a guilt ridden person.

I think she should do 8-20 for manslaughter and the apartment complex should be sued by the victim's family for unmarked floors in parking garage (no numbers or color coding) and for faulty lock of victim's apartment door.

Its hard to believe she entered the wrong apt - aren't cops trained to notice details - like the apt#?

It sounds like mistakes were common. She shouldnt be held accountable for being human. That's totally different than using your service weapon to execute someone.

@MarkiusMahamius That's a huge mistake - did her key work on his door? was it unlocked? Somethings wrong with her story.

@gater I think the door was unlocked

@MarkiusMahamius, she should be held 100% accountable... She's obviously too dangerous to be allowed free. She killed s man in his own apartment while he was eating ice cream. She said her got up and ran toward her- that's not how the medical examiner sees it.

The medical examiner stated that the bullet that killed Mr. Jean traveled in a diagonal downward path through his body... How does that happen if he's rushing towards her?

She NEVER identified herself as a police officer during the shooting- she testified that she said, “Let me see your hands!"

Nope, nada and no way I believe anything coming out of her mouth that justifies her killing this innocent man... One expert she was justified in killing him because she thought her life was in danger.

The biggest flaw in that argument is that her (& his) life would have been fine had she not violated his space and civil rights by illegally entering his apartment... She committed a crime when she went into his place and killing him was the worst crime.

No... Put her in jail and keep her there!

@DGJ0114 ive gone to the wrong apartment before, is all im saying. I agree thats no excuse.
