I downloaded and read the Trump telephone call transcript. Taken by itself, it seems pretty benign and only somewhat troubling. But a person would have be a fool to take it in isolation without context.
If Trump's previous actions over the last three are any indication, the conversation becomes more troublesome and ominous. He invited Putin to meddle in our elections in 2016, he stated in an interview that he would not turn down foreign intelligence on his political opponents if offered. And now it serms he blackmailing Ukraine into assisting him in his political competition with Biden.
Given that Trump cut off military aide to Ukraine 3 days before this conversation, and given Trump's paranoia and pathologic propensity for pettiness, and the fact that he extorted Ukraine is not beyond the realm of believability.
