Blog Post of a woman friend, also a mother of two kids: "The forces moving the universe in a good direction are beyond my comprehension, but I see enough of it that I know I want to align myself with this movement towards greater sentience, consciousness, and benevolence. I’m grateful that it brought us this far, for all that’s beautiful in my life, and for the opportunity to be on this adventure and keep it moving forward, no matter how difficult it may be at times, even when it’s boring and unrewarded."
She's an agnostic and a fairly well-recovered Catholic.
"The forces moving the universe in a good direction " sounds like new age nonsense to me. I don't think the universe recognises what she thinks is good or bad. So she is happy with her life. Good for her.
Exactly. And the other 99% can go fuck themselves!
Sounds like a Victorian middle class philanthropists wife, especially the mention of being bored and not rewarded!
She has a very positive and optimistic outlook that I admire greatly.
In moving away from her Catholic Faith it sounds as though she threw out the bath water and kept the baby.
Maybe she can become a motivational speaker
Sounds a bit over-privileged to me.
Tell that tale in Africa, Syria, the sweat shops of SE Asia, the abducted children that are being abused around the world, the sexually degraded women who can’t see an out, and all the dominated people we will never here about.
Oh sorry, I forgot “the forces moving the universe in a good direction” are just for her!
Yes, most of us are "over privileged." I don't understand the point of what you wrote.
“The forces of the universe moving in a positive direction” clearly do not work for the people mentioned in the categories above.
The Pollyanna nature of the text seems to indicate there are preferences made by this universe.
Is that a reasonable conjecture?
@Geoffrey51 The universe is expanding. A pity her mind didn't expand with it.
