Hello everyone,

I was reading through someone's post about their dying mother and it reminded me of the loss of my own mother... at the time I was fairly new to agnosticism and EVERYONE in my family was catholic or at least spiritual, and I just had to go along with things not knowing how to deal with any of it as a non-believer.... This community has made me realize that the next person that dies in my family (probably one of my sick grandparents) I will actually have a support network and have someone I can turn to.
I appreciate you all for it. 🙂
I suppose this community has me feeling "blessed", so to speak, at the moment. 🙂

This site and a majority of the people on it have been my refuge since the passing of my husband last year. I know exactly what you are saying.

Well... If you are feeling "blessed" and all... We'll send around the plate! We don't want you to feel TOO far removed! 😉

there needs to be an agnostic/atheist term for feeling blessed imo.... I used it metaphorically of course

@demifeministgal Then use the word "blessed!" My sister and I do all the time. My mom, and her sister and cousins, would always say, "Bless your heart!" So anytime either I do something for my sister or she does something for me.... We bless the others heart. Of course this is all tongue in cheek... But who really cares. Do what makes you feel good! (As long as you aren't hurting others!) 😉

Glad to be there for you
