“Thank me it’s Friday”

Has anyone else read “Not the Bible”. It’s an amusing parody and includes comments along this vein:

Chapter 1 line 24:

And the evening of the fifth day, which had been the roughest day yet, God said, Thank me it's Friday. And God made the weekend.

I was in my late teens when I read so perhaps the humour might seem puerile today...
