Holidays are for family getting together as far as I'm concerned. I don't observe the religious aspects of Easter or Christmas. Halloween is fun--more for the kids than me, but what the heck. Enjoy!

No, I spent my entire childhood waiting for the time when no one could make me. When my son was little, I'd ask him every year if he wanted to and he always said no.

Sure. Halloween is fun. Christmas is a tradition and a nice opportunity to think about others. Easter I only do because it’s important to my mom - otherwise the only celebrating I would do would be in the 50%off candy aisle the day after.

The holidays are the busiest time for me ... when everyone else takes a holiday the kennels and cattery fill up.
I will celebrate christmas day with a big slap up meal out on 23rd ... and do 14 hour days through to the first weekend of the new year ... then take a long sleep and a holiday
same goes for other holidays, but for shorter periods as tend to be single day public holidays

Not as much as I use to do being an Atheist and working with the public for over 20 years. The public can really suck the fun out of them for us who work in retail (gas stations, grocery stores, etc.).

...and the Melbourne Cup, The Queens Birthday, The AFL Grand Final Parade Day, even though I am not interested in any of them

The great Australian tradition you see. Any excuse for a beer and a barbie!

I still celebrate the Jewish holidays, despite having been an atheist my entire life. Religion is only a tiny part of holidays; time spent doing the things we love instead of working, and sharing time with family and friends, is a greater part and to be treasured.
