if god were a natural part of reality and a spontaneous always, how could there not be multiples.
How could God be a natural part of reality? If God intervened, he'd be interfering with his own plan. Thus, whatever God did would be UNNATURAL, or supernatural if you prefer. Even if God created the universe, nothing except the universe remains as evidence. The problem is that the universe does not provide evidence of a creating God, or any other kind of God. Evidence for God would be something unnatural or supernatural. The absence of evidence IS evidence of absence, unless one invokes the Loki Hypothesis.
Maybe they fight and kill each other.
But they are not a natural part of reality; only an aspect of the internal reality of believers.
I don't know if this pertains to the original post (I'm new here), but I believe the Hindus believe in multiple gods, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe someday WE will be gods after we die and go to the Celestial Kingdom.
Our place is not to understand God, simply to follow his rules and those of his chosen messiah... if you’re Christian or Muslim, or wait for them if you’re Jewish
Multiple all-powerful contradiction: if 2 or more God thingie are totally all-powerful at same time and same place it would be a contradiction considering if one tried to punch another in nose . All-powerful hits nose but all-powerful blocks punch.
Block punch with nose , would they both still be all-powerful?
If you study out biblical text, you see you are a God according to biblical standards because you have intellegence capabilities.
Cognition - the mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience, and the senses.
synonymserception, discernment, awareness, apprehension, learning, understanding, comprehension, enlightenment, insight, intelligence, reason, reasoning, thinking, (conscious) thought
Logos - "word, speech, statement, discourse," also "computation, account," also "reason," from PIE log-o-, suffixed form of root leg- (1) "to collect, gather," with derivatives meaning "to speak," on notion of "to pick out words."
You think and you move atoms, molecules, complex compounds, body matter, muscle etc. The first representation of a person would be zygote that grows by chemical reactions. Our first cognative logos intellectual capabilities starts as a single cell chemical reaction and grows, increases, adds matter. To think is to be God as compared to atoms laying around on a periodic table of elements. To think is to control chemical reactions and atoms of the body and the body capable of moving matter in surrounding environment of the body. John 1:1 in the beginning was the logos, the logos was with God and was God. Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; ... John 1:14 ... the logos become flesh ... (a person)
To think, to logos, to do cognative activities is the HIGHEST of any ability. What would any ability be with out the thinking ability or logos with it?
Why are you asking atheist and agnostics about an imaginary god?
With several postings like this recently I wonder, am I on the correct site.
@Morovian, @LiterateHiker, I think Hankster is making an observation that could be pointed out to believers, at least those who believe in a single god.
