We had a rather crazy night last night. At around 10:30 pm, the cats went nuts with what I thought must have been a moth in the kitchen they had to get. But the noises kept going on & I knew it wasn't ''kitty'' noises, so went to the kitchen to look.
I saw the damn kitchen door handle being turned, & someone was pushing the door. I could see it moving against the deadbolt. I banged on the door & hollered to ''get away'', but it kept on & on. Woke my husband up, & I called 911 while he leaned his whole weight against the door. 3 police cars came with lights & sirens off, & crept up the driveway & around to the back yard on foot.
They caught & handcuffed the person, who ended up being a female who was loaded on something. To be as strong as she was with shoving on the door, it had to be drugs not booze. We thought she was going to break through the lock!
Took forever to get the adrenaline to settle enough to try to go to bed!
,,,very sorry to here that...I do not know what to say -
except glad you folks are safe!
Thank you. Glad we live in a small city where the police got here quickly.
Scary...I’d hate anything like that to happen to me.
Unfortunately, our little city is a crime capital per capata in Canada!
If that happened to me, they'd be dead - after all, I know where the knives are kept in this house. That isn't a good thing at all, and I have the utmost admiration for your restraint - let's hope the poor woman gets the help she needs.
There was no chance I was going to voluntarily open that door!
Jnei honey be careful unless you had good instruction in knife fighting you can get hurt, am ex army so I was taught by experts who actually had to do it,combat vets, which I now am
