There must be something out there, but to give it a name etc and say "that's it" is more than a bit fanciful.
Depends on what your expectations of ‘something’ are. Not likely to be an ‘it’ for all sorts of physical and philosophical reasons.
You can speculate all you wish, and there is no harm in that, as long as you label it clearly as speculation. You can only be mistaken when you think you have solved something, you can only be wrong when you think you know something. And if you think you know something that everyone else should know, then you had better bring some evidence.
