Took a little day trip to Hocking Hills, Ohio. I forgot how beautiful my state can actually be. We hiked about 4 miles and visited Old Man cave and Ash cave. Its the closest I get to feeling spiritual...more so just in awe and wonder at the beauty of nature. (For some reason I'm having trouble sharing more than these few pics)
What a nice day trip. Very pretty pics too!!!
It is sad that 'civilised' humanity decided to adopt living in towns and lost the connection to the natural world ... and we all seem to crave reconnecting with nature
Flash from my past. I was born in Ohio and my family moved to California when I was 12. The Hocking Hills was a favorite place for the family to go. Old Mans Cave was one place we went many times during different times of the year. I remember a falls there that was completely frozen one winter. That was in the 1960's. Gosh! I haven't thought about that place in a long time. I have many fond memories of Ohio. I'm glad to know it's still there (the Hocking Hills that is) and people are still enjoying it. Thanks for tiggering the memory.
I love that place! Thanks for posting. I grew up in Ohio.
Why would you want to feel "spiritual" and ruin the feeling of awesomeness and beauty of nature???
@creative51 oh, I get it alright, and I don't call that feeling spiritual because it isn't, nature, the universe and their awesome beauty are as real as they come. I feel good and content when faced with their vastness and beauty, real, tangible feelings not ethereal at all. And I will not shut the fuck up because this is an open forum for opinions. You don't like opinions, especially when they are not in line with your ridiculous spiritual bullshit, well tough shit asshole!
@creative51 you were the first to use insults, so who's the asshole then? Don't waste your time telling me what to do or not do, I will opine whenever I want to in whatever theme I want to, especially more so when I get holier than thou people who are annoyed by anyone who may think and express opinions that are different than the ass kissing ones.
@creative51 what you should have done much earlier instead of trying to bully dissenting opinions.
But were you not afraid to go in the wild alone?
@BohoHeathen
OK, phew.
