The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is still on CBS at 11p. I don't have TV so I catch it on youtube - which is where I found this gem. I sure miss the Obamas.
Yeah, trump and trump supporters hate this show - hahahahahahaha too bad. Constitution says trump can't do sqwat about the show or programing. AND since it is past the time when 'family' programing rules are stricker he can get away with a broader range of digs at trump, cuss words are bleeped but crude and rude concepts get in the monolog.

@silverotter11 Oh you mean the TV show itself yes, thank you for telling me. I am familiar with it. I meant to ask about the educational program enacted under President Obama, Let Girls Learn.

@Flowerwall I'm sure trump heard about and crushed it under his tiny feet after pounding and grabbing it with his tiny hands and then he put betsy devos in charge of finishing it off. Too dsytopian for ya? yeah well that's the trump administration. so glad for Stephen Colbert.

@silverotter11 Well I can't find anything current on it, news articles anything. But here was the website letgirlslearn.gov It is not operational. What would motivate a president to shut down such a program? Was there corruption? What is it? How does it get justified? An extremely wealthy nation as the US and we can't fund it? That's where it feels like intentional destruction of someone's legacy.

@Flowerwall Where have you been for the past 3 years? EVERYthing Obama did has been the target of trump undoing. Yes, he even dug up the organic vegetable garden Michelle planted. Most of these sort of programs can be undone with the stroke of a pen. Funding eliminated. Poof! gone. trump has trashed the government and the gop has stood by and let it happen.

@silverotter11 I didn't know about the vegetable garden, but compared to something like this where there was so much potential for so much good, the vegetable garden seems like nothing. It's just in this particular instance, how do they justify it? How does the public who elected him feel about this choice?
I know there are other significant things he has undone, but this is a big one.

@Flowerwall As to the level of big, um. On your scale or MY scale it is big but to an already intellectually curious challenged person it's viewed as no big deal. I am serious, studies have shown an intelligent president is looked on by a certain percentage of the populace with distain. Smart people make others nervous and if you have no desire to learn or that nervousness makes your afraid well someone like trump, mcconnell, etc. can lead you aroundand get you to vote against your own best interest. There is no percentage for some of our elected officials in having a well educated populace and good health care plays as important a roll. It's all just my opinion, I could be wrong.
