Ok, so what are they going to do with a 1-ton rock? The 1-ton Wizard rock was stolen from Arizona’s Prescott National Forest. Staff noted that 2 other large rocks were moved.

WTF who would do that

In some places like the English lakes in the past, stone theft was a major issue, especially well worn stones, and I believe they have had similar problems in east Asia.

Some people like to have landscaping boulders. I have one myself. Large boulders are rare in this area, but there was one on the property that I had moved into the front yard, called a garden by Brits.

I just planted my winter garden BTW—vegetables.

Landscaping is the only thing I could think of. The article said the rocks are worth $100 to $200 per ton.

@CS60 That’s not a lot of value to risk jail over. It cost that to get my rock moved.

@WilliamFleming yes, the theft seemed rather stupid. Maybe they will hold them for ransom

Sell them for garden ornaments perhaps ?

See my snide remark above. 🙂

@WilliamFleming Seen it. I came back and made another comment. Snide but wise.
