The town sounds lovely but at 66 I am not interested in refurbishing an old house. The town is looking for younger people. i wonder how it will play out. Is there work for younger residents? Article does not mention the employment opportunities. Construction for sure!

With my retirement savings.... I will need to stay in the US to make sure my SS and pensions keep flowing, or at least maintain a US address. Beside, I wanna see the grands grow up, they're just too precious to miss out on anything!

The Italians and the Greeks . Don't have me start , I can type for ever . Too much love , too much " φιλότιμο ", too much " fuck that shit ", too much " ahhh does not matter will worry about tomrw ". Good people . Dysfunctional governments .
I visit both almost every yr . The Greeks don't have jobs . My high school friends , doctors for the last 20 yrs , and they moonlight at bars and restaurants to pay a mortgage . The Germans did w the banks what they weren't able to do w tanks and starvation on 1940.
The Italians are still holding , but spirits are crushed and the young ones migrate faster than ever . In the land of the pope , Italians finally have lost their religion , and some their identity . But still holding .

Nah, I'll stay put. I've always enjoyed a good fight.
