The referendum passed. Period. Those opposing have done all kinds of shit to stop it from happening.
There is much to be discussed about should it have been a referendum.... But it was a legal vote.
Just like here, Trump has repeatedly violated his oath of office. Why has he not been removed? Same as with brexit. A refusal by those who will lose their power to follow the law.
In both cases we are confronted with the defiance of what is most basic to our way of life. Majority rules. No matter how wrong they are.
