After a number of years living single (>20) I would like to check the box labeled "single". The label "Divorced" feels really negative to this midwesterner. Remarried 3 times the ex checks "married" I Am Single.

As a single male trying to find a date. i say your fine calling yourself single so long as you are upfront about being divorced by the end of a first date. most of us just want to find someone to be happy with and have our own histories divorced or otherwise

Divorce is relevant to school age children and those collecting alimony.... if a person is widowed/er grown or zero children zero financial ties to anyone SINGLEhood is like virginity ....nobody's business until courtship or engagement..... dating whatever people mean by dating is for single people ....years ago folks used the word REmarriage.... another sexist habit rarely applied to an experienced penis
