I believe the idea of not taxing churches in the USA was to assure they remained separate from government. No taxes - no representation. Obviously, they’ve crossed the line of separation… Time to Tax ~

At least tax them on the percentage of the revenue they receive that can't be proven was used for true humanitarian issues. Usually, this amounts to about 2 or 3 percent of their take. Otherwise, members are getting a tax writeoff for a social club and the church pays no taxes. A little known fact is that the IRS can't look at the church financial records.
