How many people have seen the movie Hail Satan! ? It's about the separation of church and state (although I've seen people flee if you bring up the name of the movie!!). There are chapters of the Temple of Satan around the nation. They sarcastically "worship" Satan, who they don't believe in anyway, to show governmental agencies why they shouldn't have religion in the statehouse, etc. Great movie!
There is an element of literal truth in sarcasm, which is why Im very reluctant to use it, especially for political or raising awareness reasons.
Im not a fan of the Satanist group, real or not. The best approach is always honesty and respect. If you have to do tricks or stunts then say its to help, it feels wrong. It's like using the oppourtunity to make fun or say jokes at the expense of a group, then saying you are just trying to help them. No, you're doing it because you like it and/or benefit from it. I'm not buying that bull.
It amazes me that America has this rule designed to separate church and state but seems to constantly let churches meddle into their state affairs and yet countries that don't have any rules of separation, don't have the problem. I don't understand it.
The guy who produced the film said he did it in part because it absolutely astounded him, as a European, how enmeshed religion is in our politics here. He probably is just as aghast at our health system.
United States of America is the secret religion of the Masonic lodge secret religion racist devil worshippers being lead by Lucifer the devil, most commonly know as Jesus the Christ king of the Jews.
Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon.
It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. Revelations 13:11-12
Interpretation:
What the first beast is Catholicism in an attempt of ruling and world domination that can be seen to have been wounded by the split of catholic into denominations with the protestant movement.
The second beast then being the rise of illuminati, illuminated lucifer "light" meaning words out of the dark ages for a new style of "conspiracy theory " world domination organization laws, a beast by metaphor.
The United States of America, laws and premise is Masonic lodge secret religion racist devil worship government requiring worship of the first beast intent on world domination and forcing such ad "In God we trust ".
It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, ... Revelations 13:16-17
Interpretation: laws of government requiring and enslaving people to capitalism slave labor identification for taxation and government control.
and to horns like a lamb ... spoke like a dragon. The apparence of lamb horns would be a defensive appearance not an aggressive appearance but speaking like a dragon would be like putting fear into people not paying taxes.
The American government has apparence of a defensive government that would by apparence not show aggression, but "speaks" to oppress people.
Revelation was written about Emperor Nero, all the phrases are elements of Rome, Roman society and slang for those things at that time.
@Davesnothere Revelations 1:19 Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.
Revelations 1:8 ... "who is, and who was, and who is to come, ...
It is not all about nero,
@blahblah I twas a message to people of that time, all the apocalyptic phrases are about Roma and Nero.
@blahblah And what makes you assume the Bible is a valid source for anything other than Christian or Hebrew religious Dogma?
@Davesnothere no, I do not know forsure how to prove or evidence 1000 years reign between Hitler and Revelations text. I am not forsure how to evidence schizophrenia as being a possible indicator of someone being demon posessed by "the good shepard " and having his "sheep " the jews Brought to slaughter.
@blahblah Well believing in Demons might be a good starting point.
What evidence do you have for that, or angels, or Jesus?
The assertions of the Romans who wrote and promoted the NT? Creating the first prophet who is not like Elijah,, but says "render unto Rome" and "turn the other cheek", instead of "The wrath of the Lord is upon you!"?
Is that not curious?
If you have no evidence to support your belief other than your own rationale, you have no foundation do you?
Built your house on sand?
@Davesnothere as written Jesus said, Matthew 10:34 "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
@Davesnothere and as to mental illness, I had spent several months living with and helping a man that had been bipolar schitzoeffective for about 20 years. Near the end of visiting with him and helping him he come to me and said he had been off of his medication for almost a month, which he claimed he had never been off of his meds for more than 3 days with out ending up back in a mental hospita. So, off of his meds for almost a month and had not had the light hallucinations . Why do you think I am crazy if I have done things to help someone that was certified as crazy?
@blahblah Also says "God is love" in John
So what is that, a loving sword?
You can, and people have, used the Bible to support or protest against almost anything by picking and choosing verses out of all context to suit your arguement. Bible was used pro and con on slavery. In fact you learn how to do this in seminary school, it is how you write sermons, by cherry picking verses out of all context and then asserting your own context.
Not crazy, I do not look down on the mentally ill, but malfunctioning logic circuits. A malfunctioning brain is no different than any other organ malfunctioning.
For instance you say you are not Christian, but then keep using their bible (which is a joke in itself, no originals, copies of copies repleat with additions and ommissions.) as a valid support for things the religion does not espouse, but you do.
So why on Earth, if your not of the religion and don't think it is valid, do you adhere to their text?
Why do you think that somehow you saw through the lies to find a truth no one sees, or few see?
If that were true, what would it say about your God? It is only for you?
All these things paint you as either truly confused or a troll.
@Davesnothere confused is one of the last things this son of Lucifer tried telling me, then he said no one would believe me. Ain't that some shit.
@Davesnothere and again I point out typical illogical atheism. I state that if Christians understand the original writings of biblical text and what the Jewish writtings were saying in original language that points to Jesus as being Angelic lord of host Lucifer the devil .... do you really think if it were brought out of text and explained as to what the writings are saying, with out debate over truth or fiction of Jesus character, do you understand? Jesus character does not have to be proven to exist but to explain to people, Christian's, that the Jewish people wrote that Jesus is Lucifer the devil. Do you think Christian's would still want to be Christian? Or are you too God damb stupid illogical of an atheist to understand how to defeat christianity? And you want to call me a troll
@blahblah "I state that if Christians understand the original writings of biblical text"
They don't, worse they cannot because we do not have anything CLOSE to originals.
Why do you assume the Bible is "special"?
That it holds some hidden wisdom?
That it is magical, or lets you talk with Angels, Demons, Gods?
EVEN if they had it backwards, your still advocating their book, taking it AS a source of evidence.
Why do you assume that?
This is about as close to an original as we get, circa 300 CE/AD or so, a fragment of a script. There are no originals.
@Davesnothere I can understand your attempt to "naturalize " my dreams, but that is not my only experience. I have experienced other things that was not specific to the plan of the dreams being connected. I drove by a house once and had a "knowing" I would meet the man living there and he would have a Pool table in his living room. About a month later I met the man at his house.
I can appreciate your attempts at de va vue. Or some other naturalized explination if, if, if it were all to true I would be glad to accept a naturalized explination. However, call me a liar only when I lie. But, I enjoy having my personal integrity.
@Davesnothere I understand the theme that follows thru. I understand reasons for text being altered in minor ways that can give for some thing to appear conflicting. However, the error and such of minor discrepancies does not take away from the major theme of the story or plot if you could call it that.
@blahblah Not rying to naturalize your experience, just saying there are also natural explanations.
Occams Razor.
" I understand reasons for text being altered in minor ways that can give for some thing to appear conflicting"
Not just minor ways, are you familiar with the tale from Luke "Cast no stone", only he who is without sin . . .?
Does not exist at all in earlier copies. Was created in the dark ages.
WORSE, how do you have a Jesus of Nazzareth when Nazzareth was not founded until more than 100 years after his alleged life?
AND, you did not answer my question. IF you are not christian or hebrew and do ont believe the religion, why do you consider their text as valid evidence of anything?
@blahblah Not a few either, but a great many contradictions.
Tell me, did you ever read the Bible like a normal book, from front to back?
GE 1:3-5 On the first day, God created light, then separated light and darkness.
GE 1:14-19 The sun (which separates night and day) wasn't created until the fourth day.
GE 1:11-12, 26-27 Trees were created before man was created.
GE 2:4-9 Man was created before trees were created.
GE 1:20-21, 26-27 Birds were created before man was created.
GE 2:7, 19 Man was created before birds were created.
GE 1:24-27 Animals were created before man was created.
GE 2:7, 19 Man was created before animals were created.
GE 1:26 Man is to have dominion over fish, birds, cattle, and all wild animals, yet--
GE 2:15-17 It is wrong to be able to tell good from evil, right from wrong.
GE 1:26-27 Man and woman were created at the same time.
GE 2:7, 21-22 Man was created first, woman sometime later.
GE 1:28 God encourages reproduction.
LE 12:1-8 God requires purification rites following childbirth which, in effect, makes childbirth a sin. (Note: The period for purification following the birth of a daughter is twice that for a son.)
GE 1:31 God was pleased with his creation.
GE 6:5-6 God was not pleased with his creation.
(Note: That God should be displeased is inconsistent with the concept of omniscience as well as with the fact that God allegedly does not change his mind: NU 23:19-20, 1SA 15:29, JA 1:17.)
MANY MORE on the list
@blahblah "Throughout history, every mystery ever solved has turned out to be NOT magic." T.M.
That is not supernatural. So why assume a supernatural explanation for an unknown?
@Davesnothere. A little busy here and there I'll answer what I can when I can.
I have found information on recent archelogilogical discoveries of placing Nazareth at Jesus time. I have found archeology discovery about Egyptian thing giving King David of old testiment validation as a real person. No time to dig up reference for you on those issues.
Here is video to better explain to you the garden of Eden myth and listen for his explination about knowledge of good and evil. Genius.
@Davesnothere after watch video of garden of Eden "myth" from aspect of origional language it can give a lot different understanding than modern christianity English.
@Davesnothere super means superior. Or above. Could be more appropriate to say a superior yet to be scientifically discovered state of nature
@Davesnothere it may not say a lot. But, the nation of Israel does infact exist. To my knowledge there is no nation of Zues for example comparision
@blahblah and the city of New York exists in spiderman comics, think that lends credability to an actual spiderman?
@blahblah djective
How do you define an unknown event as superior?
Because we don't understand it?
How do you define it as beyond nature when it takes place in nature?
@blahblah Because a tale is written, and men can apply thier minds to rationalize it does not lend it credability.
"Why don't Jews believe in Jesus?" Let's understand why – not to disparage other religions, but rather to clarify the Jewish position.
Jews do not accept Jesus as the messiah because:
Jesus did not fulfill the messianic prophecies.
Jesus did not embody the personal qualifications of the Messiah.
Biblical verses "referring" to Jesus are mistranslations.
Jewish belief is based on national revelation.
But first, some background: What exactly is the Messiah?
The word "Messiah" is an English rendering of the Hebrew word Mashiach, which means "anointed." It usually refers to a person initiated into God's service by being anointed with oil. (Exodus 29:7, 1-Kings 1:39, 2-Kings 9:3)
(1) Jesus Did Not Fulfill the Messianic Prophecies
What is the Messiah supposed to accomplish? One of the central themes of biblical prophecy is the promise of a future age of perfection characterized by universal peace and recognition of God. (Isaiah 2:1-4, 32:15-18, 60:15-18; Zephaniah 3:9; Hosea 2:20-22; Amos 9:13-15; Micah 4:1-4; Zechariah 8:23, 14:9; Jeremiah 31:33-34)
Specifically, the Bible says he will:
Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28).
Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6).
Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease. As it says: "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4)
Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one. As it says: "God will be King over all the world – on that day, God will be One and His Name will be One" (Zechariah 14:9).
If an individual fails to fulfill even one of these conditions, then he cannot be the Messiah.
Because no one has ever fulfilled the Bible's description of this future King, Jews still await the coming of the Messiah. All past Messianic claimants, including Jesus of Nazareth, Bar Cochba and Shabbtai Tzvi have been rejected.
Christians counter that Jesus will fulfill these in the Second Coming. Jewish sources show that the Messiah will fulfill the prophecies outright; in the Bible no concept of a second coming exists.
@blahblah
@Davesnothere According to biblical text, Jesus, h ou s body was the 3rd temple. Not a building of stone. Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days." They replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?"But the temple he had spoken of was his body. John 2:19-21
There is messianic prophecy about the new world where a lion and a lamb would live with out being predators or prey? I would have to find references but Jesus was considered lion of the tribe of Juda, lamb of god. Vaguely, that's my understanding of that type of prophesy.
@Davesnothere there are a lot of questions you pose or like the list of biblical scriptures that seem to show a God thingie with a lot of mind change and other issues that question things like the omnipresent connotatiin that often accompanies gid thingies. I just have time here and there to address different topics. On my profile and I with these illogical agnostic site control people had not of deleted and blocked my original profile I had some information there to where I wouldn't have to keep typing answering each time someone ask the same or simular question.
I would suggest looking at wikipedia or other source that give a list of the explinations for different types of omniscient and such. I have explained things, maybe paradox is incorrect word, but I use the things to explain like all knowing. For example: All know knows how to block the constant smell of all anus from every anus at all times. Do you really think some that has capabilities of being all knowing would also know how to not know something therefore would not be all knowing.
@blahblah "According to biblical text"
Frankly Blah I do not give a shit what the Bible says anymore. Iread it six times in as many translations.
I found it nothing more than men writing a book to gain power and control and authority over other men. As soon as those men submit to the treligious authority they are under social control.
It does not matter how you analyze a piece of shit, it is still a piece of shit.
@Davesnothere things of shit, control I can understand .. it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.Hebrews 4:12
Has it's way or reveling peoples evil ... or good.
Any many of people use it for control, but used with wisdom it is a work of pure genius.
@blahblah Only if you ignore all the bad parts, like wrestling God and winning.
Give me a big enough volume of text and I can find wisdom in it too.
SO FUCKING WHAT?
Do or do not, there is no try---Fucking Yoda
@blahblah MONSTERS in the Bible

and of course . . .
Judges 11
1 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour . . .
4 And it came to pass in process of time,
that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.
6 And they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain, that we may fight with the children of Ammon.
30 And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the Lord, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands,
31 Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the
doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace
from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the Lord's,
and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.
34 And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold,
his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with
dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had
neither son nor daughter.
35 And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his
clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me
very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I
have opened my mouth unto the Lord, and I cannot go back.
39 And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she
returned unto her father, who did with her according to his
vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a
custom in Israel,
40 That the daughters of Israel went yearly to lament the
daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite four days in a year.
To ignore all this and much much more shows a desire on your part to believe the Bible (the religion of which you do not believe) is somehow special, magical even.
@Davesnothere a long list, I could comment or give information on some things that might help your understanding, some things like book of mary I have never read nor even heard of. Book of Judas I would be doubtful considering biblical text seems to indicate he killed him self.
As to Judas character. I find it interesting or peculiar that the old testiment says Jesus would be betrayed for 20 or 30 silver? So then in new testiment the author tells store of last supper. Jesus said l I ke the one that dips bread with him would be the betrayer.
So how really would this conversation go? Jesus be like, "You know, Judas, what the prophesy says that I must be betrayed for the silver, so you are the one chosen to do it so go and fulfill prophesy ".
What if Judas was like, " but Jesus that is a stupid prophecy. we should rewrite the prophesy and say you concquour this Roman invasion of Israel and like call in millions of angels to knock out Rome then we can rule the world".
Now, was the biblical text really written by one person that didn't think about this odd sort of drama situation, or is it like the drama of an irony where the audience knows about the prophesy but Judas character was unaware and just fulfilled because that how prophecies get fulfilled?
Ever hear about time dilation? It is an Albert Einstein thing. Look it up to understand that I propose, call it a speculation but an observation that might could be plausible. Someone, ou r some cognitive capability was traveling at as time dialation speed when seeing creation events that appeared to only take 6 days in stead of millions of years. Then that cognitive capability merged its speed with the speed of the creation to give a report of the short appearing creation event. I do not agree fully with myself on that but, it is a thought to think about that might lead to a more correct thought or ideal.
"Beast" of Revelations text is metaphor for laws or body of government. I have already posted a comment to someone else explaining the American beast(laws of USA) as I view it to be the second beast requiring people to worship the first beast I see as the body if government considered the Roman catholic church prior to protestant movement and the catholic attempt at a world domination power that was wounded by the protestant movement.
Video about someones ideal of dinosaurs in biblical text.
@Davesnothere You list ...unicorn ... The Indian rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis), also called the greater one-horned rhinoceros and great Indian rhinoceros, is a rhinoceros species native to the Indian subcontinent. It is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, as populations are fragmented and restricted to less than 20,000 km2 (7,700 sq mi). Wikipedia
Deuteronomy 33:17, Psalms 22: 21 and Psalms 92:10 speak of the unicorn's horn. Job 39:10 and 39:10 both speak of the unicorn not tilling the earth. In Psalms 29:6, the unicorn is likened to a young calf skipping, while Isiah 34:7 mentions unicorns in the same context as bulls and bullocks. [unicornsrule.com]
So, most likely the biblical text unicorn is the real unicorn rhino.
@Duchess_Nyx definate maybe?
Yes, great movie and TST is a great organization. I’ve been getting involved with the TST Tennessee chapter. I can understand how it seems like a joke or a priceless troll, using sarcasm but it really isn’t. It’s a legitimate religion, just nontheistic. We sincerely consider Satan (as a literary character) to be a valuable symbol. Satan is representative of our ideals by being the adversary of authoritarianism and an advocate of questioning. It’s hard not to have a little bit of schadenfreude at the problems this philosophy presents for Christians and revel in the great irony, it does seem like a huge joke on them. But the point isn’t to troll anyone or shock them for the sake of shocking them. It’s more about personal liberty and being a political force for creating cognitive dissonance in the mind of believers. You want religion in schools? Fine, you’ve gotta include this one. It’s an antireligion, using the principles of religion as a force against the evils of religion. It’s the snake eating its own tail and a cathartic way to reject the damaging indoctrination of Christianity more fully than being an atheist alone. It’s a symbol of defiance, but we’re not being facetious or disingenuous for provocation’s sake in the least.
I joined the Satanic Temple..it's a humanist organization.

My favorite part was the guy who said he was an atheist but didn’t feel that was enough.
