At last! I have found a label I didn’t know existed.
I’m an anti-Natalist. Oh, you don’t know the joy, the delight, of finding a group that is accepting of my subversive attitude toward humanity!
Sounds like sarcasm or teasing. You don’t seem like the subversive type.
Nah just a bit of fun. Found the label and thought another to add to our collection!
We’ll miss you.
It’s not actually a real group. I just came across the term and found it amusing.
As I’m sure you know I don’t find labels particularly helpful for individuals but splendidly ironic when referring to groups.
You're against more babies? Or the population explosion?
I'd say you aren't the only one.
I’m not actually against anything. Just the children thing has never been for me
@K9Kohle789 Nature’s a very clever beast and can easily catch one off guard.
Combine young female hormones with familial peer pressure you have two very influential forces.
I hope you are the other side of child rearing now.
@K9Kohle789 Do you think those natural urges, as you put, are more prevalent or more common in the neurotypical community than the neurodivergent community? I am wondering because I did not have these strong urges in adolescence or even now and am happily childfree.... so what gives?? XD
@demifeministgal I’ve no idea. I am sure there are some people more experienced in neuroscience here that could answer that one.
@Geoffrey51 I've been reading up about it and it seems to be that it is not so much a drive (until after one has a baby of course) as it is groomed and socialized into us..... with that in mind, it makes sense why people with my ubringings would not experience this until we learned it through actual childrearing/pregnancy. Oh well.
@demifeministgal that’s interesting, thanks.
