I've noticed several posts here that begin with "before you mock children for believing in Santa.."

No one mocks children for believing in Santa, because they're taught to believe in him.

"Before you mock your teenager for talking to an imaginary friend, stop praying to your imaginary God."

That would be a better comparison.
