If Trump is re-elected, what would your response be--if none of these fit, make your answer as a comment.
Sink into a depression. Become scared in anticipation of tRump 2.0, even more unfettered, unchecked, and looking to start his actual dictatorial reign. Re-read the history of the unraveling of democracy in 1930s Germany. Consider migrating to Canada or New Zealand.
Shrug of the shoulders and think ‘Thank fuck he’s not mine, well done Merka, you’ve done it again!’
I will lose what little hope I have left and go on living my life and trying to take care of myself as best I can while expecting the worst in our politics and economy for the future. Trump being re-elected will not be that much different than having Biden or any of the other centrist, corporatist, war-mongering Dems.
@DavidDuhon I agree completely with you on all of that. I think Bernie is the only one who can beat Trump, by giving hope to the usual low income non-voters and getting them to turn out in a general election, as well as some of Trump's supporters who are left out of the economy and angry with the status quo. Those people would have voted for him in 2016 if the Dems had not nominated Hillary, but they voted for Trump hoping for change and believing his lies. If Bernie does not win I give up hope in change thru national electoral politics and agree it has to come with movements outside of the electoral system, due to how bought and corrupt that system is.
I think the Occupy movement gave us a glimpse of what that might look like and have to be.
