During the height of the cold war the now defunct USSR never threatened energy supplies to Europe.
This sort of shit gives the US, congress not Trump, a bad name in Europe.
A majority would be more than half, but in this case, it means (according to State Dept) more countries oppose Nordstream 2 than countries support it.
@powder (from the US perspective) It is less about 'cheaper' natural gas for Europe and mostly about "sphere of influence". A successful pipeline (for Russia) is likely bad for US/Europe (setting aside the money) and likely very, very bad for Ukraine.
