Science is more accurate with its descriptions but is it "better"?

Everything, pretty much.

Yesterday I was listening to a talk by Sam Harris, and in it he stated that scientific discoveries had replaced the religious ideas we had in the past, and I could think of a few immediately, but that religion had never come up with a better idea to replace a scientific one. It got me thinking about all the ways this was true.

The virgin birth was always a beauty. From time to time there was even "scientific" articles to prove that it was possible. Of course, in my time I have heard grownups in discussion about how it was impossible for a woman to have puppies despite what the National Enquirer article said.

Thunder is actually bowling going on in heaven. This was back when bowling was more popular.

Early humans believed the sun WAS a god... the moon WAS a god.. eclipses were caused by god.. EVERYTHING was caused by one of the many gods... the bible actually called epilepsy "demon possession.." the march thru history will be what proves there actually never was a god... everything humans ascribed to god, will be answered scientifically... if we don't destroy ourselves first..

The heliocentrism and how it was practiced/followed, some also still think it is true, and was also taught and then what the Catholic organization did to Galileo when he said nope earth orbits the sun.

Any objective description of any aspect of the natural world is going to be better handled by science than religion in the 21st century. Religion needs to get used to that fact if it wants to survive, and concentrate on what it does that science isn’t equipped to do, namely teach humans how to live without murdering each other. Science doesn’t want that job.

Ummm the most obvious...no such thing as a virgin birth. That’s always been my favorite that science has proven wrong. God doesn’t make you pregnant biology does. Lol

3. Cloud cognition based on a sustainable environment of kinetic energy. After considering the slime mold scientific evaluation that it can show intellectual capabilities.

My next phase for speculation would be contingent on cognition connection to chemical reactions and/or kinetic energy of a constant sort but not specifically depending on the type of structure or mass, but in connection with a compound or mass. In such, a computer programed in such away, that the "short circuit " movie style cognition could be in a computer. And as a next speculation, a structure such as clouds capabilities of static electricity and constant movement of particles to cause a cloud cognition aka, sky god. Not to say the cloud cognition is all- knowing or all- powerful but still capable of cognitive capabilities.

Maybe this is a better statement for my speculation perposal: cognition is based on an environment of sustainability of chemical reactions kinetic energy that is not specifically by a compound structure but such the structure can contribute to the chemical reaction growth and development increase of the cognition capability.

2. For several months I visited with a man that was bipolar schitzoeffective for 20 years. Near the end of my time spent with him he told me he had been off of his meds for almost a month because he didn't need them any more. In the past he said, he had never been off his meds for more than 3 days without going back into the mental hospital. I do not claim any supernatural whiz bang nor being an expert to reproduce my visit with another to bring about the same result with another suffering mental illness.

If a small amount of cognition can overtake or develop with many slime cells to cause them to work together as if control by even the smallest of intelligence capabilities: Could a form, howbeit small, of another cognition be possible to be like a parasite on another brain causing the appearance of mental illness, or as some might call demon possession?

So, demon possession I speculate could be a seperate cognition capability. I only considered this for now as a speculation because I do not personally have scientific means of testing etc
HOWEVER, we could consider if Adolph Hitler gas schizophrenia he might of been demon posessed by a Jesus"good shepherd " demon bringing the sheep - jews to slaughter. That is what Sheppards eventually do is slaughter sheep. 1000 years reign of Hitler's ideal any thing biblical? but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. One observer viewed creation event at time dilation speed. Big bang myth is just that, a myth. Carl Sagan well established astronomer clearly States "the big bang our modern scientific creation myth " time 2 minutes 50 seconds.

What about the other way? How many things are there that we used to think that we had a secular explanation for that we now know to be supernatural? We used to think it was natural. But now we know it's caused by that god over there or that rabbit's foot or that spell? How many -- exactly ZERO!
