Suckers...

A “Poverty Draft,” I’d not heard that one.. ..but all too accurate. Seems those from poverty pockets achieve recognition and (a feeling of) power from two institutions: men find it in the military, women find it in a church.
When we allow the ignorant, poverty struck portions of our nation to elect our leaders ...this is the shit we ..and the world get..
@Varn It is what it is...The poverty draft ends up drawing recruits from three demo groups that have very few options for employment and bettering their economic lot except thru the military: Poor people, rural Americans (who are mainly poor whites), and minority groups ( blacks and Hispanics).
I agree. I thought like that too when Bush attacked Iraq after 9/11.
I thought many foreigners could feel a reason to attack random Americans.
