I went for lunch at the local club today. Not something I do every day but as soon as I sat down I had to grab the table. This massive feeling of dizziness came over me and a feeling of nausea. It was going on for 20 minutes. Luckily a friend spotted me and came over, he got me some water. It has been very hot here and I was wondering weather it could have been a touch of too much heat? Does anyone else had experience like that?
Heat stroke myocardio infarction brain ischemic attack????? If it happens again CHEW 2 RAW ASPIRIN then wash it down with a pint of cold water....glad you did not die.....stay in the shade or indoor air conditioning living space ....drink lots of water hourly if you must be out in extreme heat over 80°F
Could be any number of things, but my money would be on dehydration. Most of us need to drink way more water than we do (and less coffee, which is a diuretic), especially when it's "very hot". And as we get older, dehydration effects us more than it used to.
If it becomes chronic, definitely have a workup from your doctor.
Can be a lot of things, heat especially, dehydration drink plenty of fluids, sometimes sudden unusual movement can cause blood pressure loss in the head, minor infections in the ear which do not cause other symptoms can make it worse. And sometimes in older people we can start to get a very common condition called, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, which is annoying and incurable but easily treated.
