Have a vomitous day folks.
How did they know ir looked like Jesus? Nobody painted him during his lifetime. This might look a bit like any mythical figure, like perhaps Lucifer!
I liked Stick's Wendy from Peter Pan. Are you now safely home?
@FrayedBear Home indeed. How's your fiery summer? - It like looks horrific on the news.
@Petter Not where I am - yet! Today is a very balmy 22-25°C. We havent got into any weeks of 40-45°C's yet - that is usually end of January / February / March. My daughter has evacuated hers to Sydney though she would be safer here. Her husband is working his normal forestry fireman shifts the doing another with the volunteers. The other day she told me that the firefront on Dunns Road was only 20 kilometres away. When I checked last night it was still listed as 300,000 hectares out of control.
I still have a problem with people who build homes surrounded by forrests, do nothing to protect their homes, do nothing to prevent contribution to global warming or bushfire prevention and then start sobbing when everything burns down having believed that their god would not allow this to happen to them!
@FrayedBear Living in a fire-prone land myself, I too am baffled as to why people erect wooden houses and plant trees right beside them.
The land directly outside my house is intentionally covered in stone chips, with only a few small garden plants in it. Rain water can soak in to the land, but fire will not flourish.
@Petter We are not getting rain in many places!
6:30pm 11/01/2020 and the second "megablaze" of the season has has just been announced on the news as 2 fires - one in NSW & the other in Victoria have now joined up.
The warning apps for NSW & Victoria show as follows-
@FrayedBear It's pretty hellish. The world's biggest ever barbie, one might say, if it weren't so serious.
Please tell me he took all the christians back to heaven with him
Looks more like Wendy in Peter Pan to me.
superman was who came to my mind but each to their own fantasy.
