You succeeded. (shit-eating grin)
At the time, my Facebook feed was overrun with hateful religious zealots and political conservatives who would rather harass me than leave me alone. This site was brand new at the time, and a breath of fresh air. I did not have to censor myself regarding religion and politics were only rarely mentioned. Since then, toxic politics largely contaminated this platform, too. I can still speak pretty freely without getting beat on by religious nuts, though, for which I am very grateful.

@Seeker3CO Iāll admit to being surprised that itās as prevalent at this site as it is. In my neighborhood, conservative politics and extreme religiosity tend to go hand in hand, and disbelief and more moderate or even liberal politics tend to go together. I try to steer clear of political and religious conversations for the most part, with some success.
Politics is where our rights begin & end. Anyone not participating at this moment may not care if theyāre burned as a āheretic,ā I do.
