Judaism and Christianity share the Ten Commandments and so both take their "don't take the name of Yahweh in vain" from there.

I can't imagine that such things are an impulse unique to the Jewish / Christian deity. I would imagine that taking Allah's name in vain would carry the death penalty for a Muslim; I certainly wouldn't test the theory by cursing Allah on the streets of Istanbul or something. Trying to Google about this topic, I can't offhand find non-Christian directives about it though.

The cursing of non-monotheistic deities would inherently be a lesser offense. A Hindu would likely regard it more as an offense toward some family that had chosen that particular deity as their "house god" for instance.

I think Christianity (in recent times anyway) has been more permissive (and toothless) about this, and I think the consequences in both Christianity and Judaism for blasphemy of that kind would largely be social, being cast out of religious fellowship or perhaps family -- at most. But that hardly serves as some kind of proof of special pleading about that one deity.
