No. There are so many religious dimwits around here that I am no longer surprised.

And .. God help any "man of the cloth" who tries to sell me his or her god while I am under the influence of anaesthetic! 😉

I once told a preacher friend of mine that people trust in Doctors and hope in god. God is oftwn the backup for doctors "just in case". Of course when the person is cured it was god, when they die it was gods plan. Anything that will make theist feel better.

Don't know as I have never been asked that.

Atheism isn’t a religion, I always answer “none” to that question.

You have to give them the "LOOK".

I have had four surgeries and have never been asked about my beliefs.

Not my experience and it sounds like sniff hospital unless you have been taken to a religion based institution.

I've been lucky enough to have never been admitted to a hospital as an inpatient, but I don't expect it to be a big deal unless I land somehow in a hospital of religious background, and from what I've read, not even then really.

I don’t think there’s ever been a reaction. They’ve just written my answer and moved on to the next question.

I underwent a minor procedure just yesterday at a clinic. In the pre-op interview the question was asked: “Do you have a religion that you would like to report”? My answer was “No”.

It was a sensible and diplomatic question.

No because they never have been.
