@DenoPenno I've watched some arguments from his corner. They're doing a tap dance for him. All drama, no truth! Are we really in 2020? These guys have no standards. @Freedompath We started down this path LONG before 45 showed up. This garbage started in the 70s, with Nixon. He was stopped, but then Saint Ronnie came along, and it's gotten progressively worse ever since.

Corporations and the wealthy hold the power now.
As I said above, I don't think the election results in November are going
to matter. Even IF 45 loses the election, he's not going to leave, and the
republicans will get behind him and call "foul".
I have no faith in the "system" anymore.

@KKGator It is hard to keep the faith, but it is all we have at the moment, we must hold on to it!!! I believe that I would be more productive not having to be forced to look at trump’s sick face!

If we survive - we can never (or not for a long long time) allow ourselves to split or toss our votes over a lack of purity.. We are experiencing the bottom of the barrel ..pure evil -- and that blue sky’s a long way up… Let’s get there - stay a course - and leave this as yet another stain on our aging nations young history ~

We're too far down the conservative rabbit hole at the moment.
Conservatives and capitalists are so entrenched in our power structures that even steps to unseat them have to have Wall Street and corporate underpinnings. People call Democrats the left but they have to play by the same money rules and it seriously harms all of us.

When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

Seems to me if the Chief Justice presides, that person would be in charge.

'Preside' is the operative term. The constitution gives the Senate the power.
They can overrule Roberts with a simple majority at any time (of course with the cameras rolling). The constitution says the Chief Justice will take the place of the Vice President for the Senate in impeachment proceedings. But that may mean as Rehnquist said in the Clinton trial -- do nothing but do it very well.
