Do you think the universe is finite or infinite? Why?
The observable universe has finite mass.
Nobody seems yet sure about the curvature of space time, so the question of finite distance is probably not yet known.
The question of finite time appears to be open.
According to quantum gravity theory, space consists of a finite number of granules, and time does not exist.
Depends what you mean by finite. Does it have an edge, or will it one day not exist?
For me this is a bit like religion: no idea; don’t really care. So many problems in our grasp are desperate to be solved. After we’ve worked out how to live sustainably in a finite planet and can practice it I’m happy to turn my mind to such hypotheticals
Great reply. I know, its kind of like asking, "How many angels fit on the head of a pin?" I feel like I am solving real problems all day at work, and talking about something shapeless and unknowable can be a welcome break.
@n8harris no worries, I love problem solving too. and do it for a job , but for a break I like soduku, movies, walking and reading. Each to their own, enjoy your quandaries
