I agree that we don't know what the outcome of this outbreak will be. I feel that it deserves close monitoring. We also need to realize that we don't have all of the relevant information on it.

It's a new corona virus (has been sequenced), a lot like SARS. The hype is because no one will have protective immunity, yet. It also appears to possibly be spread person to person. As was seen with the swine flu out of Mexico, it will spread before agencies have much chance to contain it, thanks to sick/incubating people flying. I am not sure the mortality rate is any higher than a seasonal flu, but time will tell.

You are correct, it is not the normal flu, because it can develop into pneumonia or bronchitis. It currently has a death rate of 4%. The Chinese have quarantined two cities with a total population of 20 million people. The US is monitoring passengers who arrive from this area of China, mostly by monitoring body temperatures.

I am not an alarmist or conspirator and anytime I see headlines like this, it looks more like tabloid than real news. I guess we will see.

Fumigation? This is not a virus then. This is something very deadly. That's OK. The Christians can have their armageddon.
