@LucyLoohoo They certainly do. The plagues of Medieval Europe changed the demographic, and the shift away from the feudal land-tied serfdom. Leading to hired workers and artisans, this altered the social structure, making way for the mercantile forces that shape today’s world.

@BBJong The book I just finished "IN God's Name" talks of natural disasters and blaming it on an act of god keeps investors happy and people still feel free to build in unsafe areas. I think it is the same with pandemics. Making god a scapegoat removes our own culpability. The 1918 flu supposedly started in an army camp in Texas and because of the war it spread rapidly. Now we have commerce to help it spread.

LIKE EBOLA CAME AND WENT/these folks ate contaminated food ,,,if I travel (get shots) if I cook(prepare & handle carefully) taxes should source research into this or other health THREATS,-if nothing is implemented this scare(pandemic) is left to return. If a priority/ make it a priority.
