As an atheist, I often find that I'm pointing out the deficiencies of 'holy books', as I'm sure do most. Are there any other books that you use to reference your arguments or to help position your arguments. For me it's the Holy Blood of the Holy Grail, any other suggestions?
I would recommend any of Bart Ehrman's books :
I do not engage in such arguments.
I enjoy reading The Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads. If I were of a mind to, I could rip those books to shreds, logically speaking.
Yet underneath all the allegory, mythology and metaphor shines forth the worlds most astute insight into the nature of reality.
