Not even a citizen but still USA relentless in pursuit of Assange the whistle-blower who dared to expose America's (and it's allies) war crimes. Bastards. [independentaustralia.net]

Oligarchs want to run the world out of the public eye... seems most people support that notion.

The people of the USA, I'm sure, were as horrified as the rest of the world at the revelations of misdeeds by part of the military.
The wielders of power want revenge for being exposed, and unless the rank and file members of the American public express displeasure of their actions, these powerful people will continue to bully every country in the world into hounding Assange.

Isn't Assange the willing stooge for Putin? Is helping push the US into dictatorship itself comparable to a war crime?

Where on earth did you get that idea? Consider this. Were Assange a Russian stooge he would have sought sanctuary in their London Embassy.

@Petter I believe it is in the Mueller Report. Just what war crimes were committed by whom?

@racocn8 Believe?

@Petter OK, it is definitely in the Mueller Report...

And your answer on the supposedly exposed war crimes?

@racocn8 cannot read it. It has a pay wall.

@racocn8 I can't read the Mueller Report either. Assange was a journalist with a big ego. He didn't have allegiance to any country. It was human rights that interested in. He released 75000 documents about the Afghan war. It isn't hard to look up wikileaks or other places that summarise the human rights violations.

haha, did you not ese the video of US troops playing a video game with real people and having a good life. Like that little girl selling bread, that was a cool kill!

I’ve no pity for Anarchist bomb throwers who stand for nothing. I’d say hacking and ‘exposing’ the exploits of any nation would reveal some very nasty stuff … but doing so to those other than the USA would have likely meant near instant death. So pick on the US, it’s safer 😉

Europe safer still.

No European country, not Australia, not NZ, Canada would've been able to arrest him for reporting news. IN other words, no civilised country would've been able to persecute this man like the USA has done. If you want to compare USA with the middle east, Russia, North Korea or other places where human rights have little value....so be it.

@MsDemeanour A gutsy journalist he wasn’t. Those like him attack those most easily attacked -- not those ready & willing to take them out. Had he pulled this on the nations you list - he’d be dead. So, expose the impurity of the freest nation, weakening it’s ability to counter it’s opposite in adversaries?
