Must be an alpha female cat. They are the worst.
Ihave male cat, female dog
@sassygirl3869 A previous partner had a female alpha cat (white Abyssinian). Once at the vet he was in one corner (with a slashed cheek), I in another and my partner in another and the cat on the table in the middle. She was looking around at us with a bring it on look. She weighed all of 7 lbs. Here is a pic. of her looking sweet and calm. Don't be fooled.
In 1996 we got a golden retriever, Chief. In 2000 we got the Milennium Kitten, aka Millie. Chief weighed about 75 pounds, Miss Millie less than 5 when we got her. Chief was trained to sit and wait for release when we put his food down. So food goes down, Chiefy is drooling. We released him and Miss Millie ran between his feet and got the bowl first, and started eating. Chief looked at me as if to say "mooooommmmmm, she's eating my food!" I said Chiefy honey, you're bigger than she is. But I scooped the little pill up and let Chief eat in peace. She groomed him, and I knew that was going to be one ugly hairball. She beat him up good, and he just let her. I miss the both of them.
Feel bad. Animals are family. My cat and dog are both 9-they tolerate each other.
Size doesn't matter, speed and sharp claws do.
