Remember Christina Wilkinson of Oswaldtwistle in England who claimed "Evolution is not a fact. That's why it's called a theory!" [belfasttelegraph.co.uk]
Hypothesis:
IF we evolved from apes, aliens MUST have altered our DNA, which is the "missing link" everybody is looking for.
This must be rigorously tested, subjected to double-blind studies, and peer-reviewed.
For starters.
I think I found your/our "missing link".
"In 2015, researchers discovered that the common squid has edited more than 60 percent of RNA in its nervous system. Those edits essentially changed its brain physiology, presumably to adapt to various temperature conditions in the ocean.
The team returned in 2017 with an even more startling finding - at least two species of octopus and one cuttlefish do the same thing on a regular basis. To draw evolutionary comparisons, they also looked at a nautilus and a gastropod slug, and found their RNA-editing prowess to be lacking.
"This shows that high levels of RNA editing is not generally a molluscan thing; it's an invention of the coleoid cephalopods,"
I annoy the brown stuff out of religious fundamentalists by pointing out that human beings are apes by definition.
@anglophone Apes, yes, but possibly apes genetically altered to accelerate their evolutionary development.
How else can one explain civilization suddenly appearing as if out of thin air?
One day, a species of ape, the next, seemingly, building pyramids?
@anglophone, @Robecology Not following you. What does this have to do with what I said, we evolved from octopi???
@Storm1752 Yes, genetically altered by natural selection.
@Storm1752 I have never claimed that we evolved from octopi. /@Robecology
I think that you may be preaching to the converted a bit here.
Just providing fuel for debates. Feel free to adopt the meme. I'm in FB jail on a regular basis for pissing off believers...so have at it!
@Robecology If you are in FB jail, that means you must be doing a good job. Well done.
@Fernapple But I'm not happy.
I'm telling the truth. I'm not "spamming" I'm not insulting anyone. my latest one challenged a Bloomberg poster who lied....and said Mike was "in first place".
I simply said "that's not true" and showed him the "realclearpolitics" link....and (S)he reported me as "spam/violating community rules". I protested it...for hours....and I'm still "excluded" until Saturday.
More than weird... and nothing to be proud of - more than concerned and frightened about.
I't's also a major reason I've been posting here much more often.
The honesty here is so much more refreshing...
Here's the link I shared.
