Steve passed away in 1984 shortly after writing this song. He will be remembered fondly for his great contribution to the music world. Someone should rename the "City of New Orleans" railroad line (if it still exists) after him!

So, I guess you missed the point of that posting. I could give a shit about the Cubs or any other baseball team. I was commemorating the irony of Steve using his own song to presage his own death. I doubt you ever heard of Steve Goodman. I am a singer-songwriter and he was one of my biggest influences. Thanks anyway for noticing and responding.
