Tonight's Nevada debate seemed the most lively and interesting one so far. Everybody went after Bloomberg and Bernie was finally the frontrunner this time coming into the debate. What are your thoughts on how it went?
I was never a Bloomberg fan. In 2016 the people I wanted to see were Bernie for president with Elizabeth Warren as his VP.
I still want Bernie and Liz and I do not care which order they do it. Warren is a capitalist who understands that unfettered capitalism is not a good thing. Just like communism on paper looks pretty good but human nature - the negative side, ie. greed, tribalism, etc. - leads to a failed system. The same holds for capitalism; without controls and rules that have real consequences and are enforceable we end up with the 1% elite and everyone else fighting for the scraps.
Bernie is a Democratic Socialist, pretty much what we had after the Great Depression and WWII. I think they will work and fight for ALL Americans.
Bloomberg is going to need to spend another few hundred million to reverse the damage done to him in the debate.
But that's not even pocket change...
Whatever momentum that Bloomberg had is gone. He looked stiff, uninteresting, and unemotional. It will be interesting to see what the polls will be like now.
Not sure I agree about Bloomberg's performance, but I am very interested in how his next poll numbers look.
The blues have very poor records to run on and their current promises have not inched forward after many years in office ....Mayor Mike is well known by Stonewall Democrats and should sink the gay Army spy Mayor Pete ship sailed by BILLARYbots
Bloomberg was revealed to be a first-class a-hole. But I agree with others that he can just buy the votes he needs. It shouldn't be that way, but hell, Trump shouldn't be president.
