Not knowing that Gods and Devils are made up fictional characters is like not knowing that Spider-Man is a made up fictional character. Jesus, Satan, Allah, etc. are just pretend.
But do you believe they were based on real people? Like was there a guy that actually existed that was the inspiration for the Christian character of Jesus?
Yes, but these are not fictional characters. I have actually met Batman and Wonder Woman and had my picture taken with them a few years back.
Wow! Must be in some MARVEL ous religion!
It is not that simple when brainwashing is used from infancy. Group think and brainwashing goes a long way.
How here is a great example of how this fiction crosses the thin line into the realm of fraud.
Not knowing that these fictional characters represent psychological archetypes, and as such, are based in biology, is like not knowing that only ten per cent of adults ever fully develop the capacity for Formal Operational Stage thinking - obscure, but scientifically verifiable.
Welcome to AgDotCom!
that reminds me that my fiance, who has alzheimer's, believes that he and his childhood dog sat on the roof of the doghouse his father built and stargazed after a meal. now, that is straight out of peanuts, charlie brown and snoopy, and there is no doubt in my mind that he has mentally requisitioned this and reframed it as a memory. i wasn't there. i didn't know him yet. and it is still more possible that it actually happened than that there are gods. but i know he took peanuts and put it into his memory as real. i know him. so i know something i can't prove. your mentioning archetypes made me think of this.

But Stan Lee never tried to use comics as a societal control. The true difference is in application, that, and the number of people currently in the cult (Catholicism). Yes, welcome to the asylum.
I disagree!!! There are books where you can see Spider Man, Batman and the X-Men as well!!! They do exist!!!
