The claim the President Trump has been harder on Russia than any of his predecessors is a myth and a Republican talking point ( aka "fake news"

When Basser Al Assad used nerve agent against the rebels, Trump threatened to retaliate. He did retaliate, he bombed a remote air field that had Russian military stationed and was supposedly the launching point for the agent attack. The attack made sure to purposely avoid the section of the airbase housing the Russian military. No individuals were hurt. The attack put several craters in the landing strip which were repaired within a couple of days. I'm not saying Putin gave him the target, but the retaliatory strike did minimal damage but gave him cover.

When Trump exacted sanctions on Russian Oligarchs, the sanctions were leveled against third tier individuals not considered overly close to Putin. The important oligarchs that would of truly impacted Putin were left untouched. I'm not saying Putin gave Trump the list of names to sanction, but Putin and his personal friends skated unharmed.

When Assad and Russia launched another agent attack, Trump retaliated. He bombed a building that once was connected to nerve agent production, but had stood empty and unused for a couple of years. I am suggesting that Putin gave Trump the location for this target to give Trump talking points and direct damage to a nonessential target.

When the Congress passed a bipartisan economic sanctions bill against Russia, Trump refused to enact it.

P.S. Trump abandoned our Kurdish allies giving the Ruusian military an open road to all of Syria and all influence in the area.

P.S.S. Dont foget Helsinki two summers ago.

Plus replace the word "nerve" above with the word "chemical" An afterthought.

To me, this has less to do with government-to-government collusion, but oligarch-to-oligarch collusion.
Governments seem to be increasingly more in the business of coordinating activities between and among mega-transnational super corporations (using any convenient excuse--see Iraq War) than bettering the lives of common citizens.
