I'm not sure that "an intense emotional attachment" describes "love" for me... If so, dang it, that would mean I was in love with someone who made me terribly unhappy, and I'd be so disappointed if that's all there is...
I'm hopeful that love leans more toward a happy healthy positive attachment, with the strong affection and all that.
I may never have it, but I like to think it exists, because I see it every day in my clients, couples getting married, who are head over heels in love with their romantic partner.
I can define every kind of love but romantic love. I have had two great loves in my life, but sometimes life gets in the way or people grow in different directions. I am hopeful I have one more out there, but at my age will I have the courage to go for it. That is the question.
I have described it as "a wonderfull madness"
@Boomtarat03 . . . highly emotional, often not thinking clearly/rationally
@Boomtarat03 Which part of "wonderful" wasn't understood
