Tonite's Dem debate was disappointing. For one thing, the moderators were rarely in control of the debate. Most of it was the candidates talking over each other and often someone would be attacked without ever getting the chance to respond because the mods would go on to another ? or subject before letting the attacked candidate respond to the attack. I think this happened at least twice to Biden, for example.

I think the last debate did more to bring out the contrasts between candidates and was more coherent and orderly. What do the rest of you think and how do you think this debate may affect the voting in SC and on Super Tuesday next week? My guess is that Klobuchar drops out after either the SC primary on Sat. or after Super Tue. at the latest. Steyer will drop out after Super Tue. possibly.

Tulsi gets more attention now as Bernie slugs away at incoherent Biden ....all have quit except Warren....the next debate should not be rigged against Tulsi as she is the only blue telling SOME truth about USA illegal wars in 160 countries

I watched the first hour. I have to agree with your assessment. The chaos and that moving on to different topics before the current topic was more properly addressed was very off-putting. I would rather have more orderly and thoughtful debate on fewer topics if that's what it takes. And realistically, orderly and thoughtful is more reflective of the job of the president.

I watched some of it last night. I agree with your assessment. All the candidates should stop saying, "I'm the only one here who has done X and Y." Voters want someone who CAN do the job regardless of whether or not he or she HAS already done something relevant to a single topic.

I think my problem with it is two-fold. One, it's as you say, and... often it's not followed with what they would do. Biden I think is guilty of this. And two, it just seems narcissistic.

I think maybe the better approach would be in the form of "here's what I would... like I did with such and such." Experience can certainly be used in support of a proposed action, and it's appropriate to mention it in that way. But to throw experience out there essentially as the answer falls flat.

@bingst exactly - it is after all a job interview!
