This is one I wrote to myself, "Buddy Boy" but maybe some of you can relate to it. Could this apply to you. This is the slow version. The one on the album is much livelier.
Another good one, you are quite the wordsmith, nice guitar too.
Yes, that McPherson was a sweetheart but I couldn't keep it in good conscience, so I sold it. It was made by a Fundamentalist Christian luthier who routinely presents guitars to "Christian" bands. I replaced it with a Martin "D 28 authentic 1931" which rivals it in tone but doesn't play as well. Doesn't it sound sweet?
@fishline79 very sweet, and I can tell how smooth the action was, that Martin sounds like it's beautiful though.
@OnTheInside I just bought the Martin from a luthier who does work for me. He used to work for Martin and conceived the "GE" series. The problem is that, being a replica of the first Dreadnought Martin produced (formerly a Ditson), Martin wanted to make them as authentic as possible, eg. Madagascar Rosewood in place of Brazillian (although they did make some of Braz. if you wanted to spend about $18,000!).Anyway, in their zeal they used a truss rod made of Ebony! Well, as might be expected, it is pulling up a bit. Of course it's a 12 fret, which I like with 1 3/4 " neck width but that is OK. So I guess I'll have to take it back for some adjustment but since I didn't buy it new I'm afraid of what it will involve. I live in central PA by the way.
Funny your using "wordsmith". I call myself a "Songwright".
@TheInterlooper It's a reflected image!
@fishline79 when @TheInterloper caught that, I was thinking 'Good Catch', I then realized the image was mirrored, but still, very perceptive. I'd just been thinking that it was a really nice guitar .
@TheInterlooper, damn not very perceptive me. Missed an O
