One of my last interest in the enneagram and it's 9 personality types. I am a typical seven, an optimist , always planning and... scheming. I wonder how many of you heard about enneagram. You can test yourself using one of many tests online.
I think I was an 8 (the "leader," I think) on the Enneagram, but I haven't paid much attention to it in a long time. I was fascinated by personality tests and personal revelation in college, but less so now. The MBTI is a little more scientific, and I've consistently been an INTJ (and INTJ-T "the architect" according to the 16 Personalities test here: [16personalities.com] ), but still lacking in some key areas. Psychologists have developed a model they rely on called The Big Five that compensates for some of the shortcomings of these more popular tests. It doesn't put people into such easily labeled boxes, so it's tougher to tell someone how you score, but its scientific application is generally higher. (I took the test here [openpsychometrics.org] . In terms of percentile, I score low on extraversion, high on emotional stability, low on agreeableness [though I feel like there's some nuance here that isn't reflected in my ranked score, based on the description], high on conscientiousness, and high on intellect/imagination.)
I have known who I am for decades. I really don't need to take a test.
Are you sure that you know who you are ? Are you happy with who you are ?
