I suspect this is just conjecture, but it is similar to my guess about how things really work. If it is fiction, it is still a useful exercise in imagining the unknowable.
I can imagine it's even a bit worse, in that it's likely the DNC recruited Buttigieg in order to consolidate and motivate younger moderate-leaning voters as well as LGBTQ supporters, while Klobuchar was recruited to do likewise with middle-aged moderate-leaning women. I think it's highly unlikely Biden could have garnered much support from these groups on his own, and much more likely that those groups would transfer their support of Buttigieg and Klobuchar to Biden.
I don't understand why Bernie people can't except the fact Bernie is not that well liked among Black people and moderate Democrats. He can't win without them. That is just a fact.
@MissKathleen Clinton got 16,9i4,7222 votes. Sanders got 13,206,428 votes. Making shit up is not the answer. That is what Fox and trump do. Biden will beat Trump. Bernie can't get Medicare for all passed . He can't get enough Dems to vote for it and will get no Republicans. No free college. State Universities are run by the state, not the Federal government. They have no jurisdiction in the matter.
. . . sheer speculation.
The Democratic primary voters (lots of whom had very recently been undecided) made their choices. As David Brooks said on the Newshour tonight, they "acted as a community".
