Try replacing the word squat with f##k. It then makes a lot more sense. I think it is actually about f##king because that actually has all the beneficial consequences attributed to the activity in question. Squat is actually code for f##k. 😂🤣😂🤣

Many cultures perform daily activities closer to the ground. Therefore, youthful limberness never diminishes like in western cultures.

Our diet and way we defecate does not support these types movements as we age!!!

This requires hip, knee and ankle mobility from which everyone would benefit. However, it's much easier to preserve it if you keep doing it from a young age onward, than it is to restore it once that mobility is gone.

Sadly, for many, this is now impossible.

Interesting article, but I didn't see any instructions for how to properly squat. However, I do sit cross-legged regularly.

Great practice! It is also one way that hatha yoga improves health.

I really doubt I’d be able to squat like that...hips and knees are not in good enough shape anymore I’m afraid.

Not everyone can. I lost an ankle joint while in the military and would fall over backwards if I tried this.

. . . correlation not equal to 'causation' 😛

@Allamanda The idea that historical squatting and groups that still do leads to better health outcomes. Color me skeptical.
